The Krewe Of Lyra announces it’s 2012-2013 Theme, “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”, planning more good times yet to roll, and looks forward to an exciting year of fun, friendship and festivity.

The Krewe maintains a positive presence in the Northshore Community, a progressive outlook in the Mardi Gras community, and welcomes creative thought while supporting the attributes of altruism and compassion.
Lyra’s official call “Long Live Lyra” is answered with the response “La La La Lyra!”

The Krewe's mission is to positively assist individuals whose lives are impacted by mental illness. We support groups and organizations dedicated to assisting the mentally ill, and have forged an alliance with NAMI (Natl Alliance for Mental Illness). Board members have participated in other functions in the community with similar goals on behalf of the Krewe. We also encourage members to contribute available resources and energy toward the same endeavors.
